I went to an organizational meeting for the new Harris County Chapter of the Texas Democratic Women last night. I am going to join and see if this womens Democratic club is inclusive of all areas of the county. I think it will be and perhaps a lot can be accomplished for the women of Harris County. Drove in from San Antonio and had to dress in the car when I got downtown. It was worth it though. I have long wanted to see a Womens Democratic organization in Harris County.

Coming home tomorrow. Mary is doing well enough to stay by herself, we think. I am so glad and surprised. I will be writing again for the town orbiter, I hope. Never know when you just don’t show up.

Decided to go visit my mother in law Mary, only to discover that the doctor had signed her out of skilled nursing care. So I spend the last three days trying to get everything together for her to return to her apartment with an aide. Nightmare time. I will head back up there on Friday to make sure everything is ready for her to move home on Saturday and stay for 2 or 3 days to make sure she is ready for this.

What a smart idea the Nobel deciders brought to the world. Everyone hopes he will bring peace to the world because he is a leader for peace. The Nobel Prize Committee has given him a goal… earn his award. How I hope that he will be able to do that. I believe he can and apparently so does most of the world.
