Angry Me

Anger makes me quiet.
It scares me.
I don’t like losing control.
That fear which overcomes me
When I am fuming mad,
Can keep me silent enough
To stop my shouting from the rooftops
About why I am so damned mad.

This fear of shouting
Keeps me out of trouble sometimes.
But it has cost me too
Internalizing stress
Not good for a body.
So the answer: Don’t get angry.
Just let it all roll off like water.
